32 | Incidental Medical services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information was reviewed with the licensees: ratio/capacity handout, immunization requirements, Recently Approved Safe Sleep Regulations PIN 20-24-CCP, Updates to the California Department of Public Health Guidance for Child Care Providers and Programs PIN 22-07-CCP and California Department of Public Health Guidance for Child Care Providers and Programs dated 3/12/22. The licensees were reminded that corporal punishment, smoking, walkers, exersaucers, bouncy seats and jumpers are not allowed in day care. All equipment that is used should be used only as intended by the manufacturer. LPA and the licensee discussed California Megan's Law and LPA provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov.
The licensees were also reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
No deficiencies are cited. No corrections are needed; a license for 14 will be issued effective today.
The LPA reviewed this report with the licensees and provided a copy of Appeal Rights (LIC 9058 01/16). Their signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. LIC 9213 NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FORM IS REQUIRED TO BE POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. LPA observed the licensees post notice of site visit.
