25 | On 1/26/21 at 1:50PM, LPA (Licensing Program Analyst) Nancy Diaz conducted an unannounced case management inspection. This inspection was conducted virtually via Facetime due to COVID-19 pandemic restriction. LPA toured the classrooms with Site Director Egle Athari. Observed present today were 23 preschool children who were observed napping in the following rooms:
Dragonfly room with staff Nadine Sarmiento with 5 children.
Butterfly room with staff Jaslan Slatan with 6 children.
Blue Butterflies room with staff Kaily Newport with 6 children.
Catterpillar room with staff Oxanna Mallman with 6 children.
Discussed during this inspection was California's Public Health guidance regarding cohorts. Ms. Athari was reminded that due to the current pandemic, The Public health is recommending a cohort of no more than 16. A cohort is a stable group of no more than 14 children or youth with no more than 2 supervising adults in a supervised environment in which supervising adults and children stay together for all activities, and avoid contact with people outside of their group in the setting. Ms. Athari was reminded about having a space of at least 6 ft. between napping mats.
An exit interview was conducted with Ms. Athari. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC9213) and Appeal Rights (LIC9058) will be sent along with the report (LIC809) via e-mail to Ms. Athari. She will confirm receipt of these report via e-mail and the reply of confirmation will serve as the signature acknowledging these rights. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC9213) must remain posted for 30 days.
