25 | On 12/07/2021 at 9:35am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Facility Representative, Preeti Sadhu, and assigned Center Director, Lauren Wynglarz. The Preschool Program (ages 2-5) will operate in Room 1 and Room 2. Fire clearance was granted on 11/24/2021. A tour of the facility per facility sketch was conducted. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children were inspected and measured during inspection.
The preschool indoor play space measured at approximately 1,616.62 sq. ft., which will accommodate a total of 46 children. The outdoor playground consist of one big fully fenced area. When LPA inspected the outdoor playground, LPA observed a big palm tree and canopy used for shade. Area is fenced per regulation, has age appropriate play equipment, and sufficient turf and wood chips for cushioning under the slides and climbing structure. Area measured at approximately 3,086.92 sq. ft., which will accommodate no more than 41 children at one time. Due to limited square footage outdoors, a playground waiver to share the playground on a scheduled basis shall be approved prior to licensure.
LPA observed all indoor play space to be complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. There are a total of 3 toilets and 4 sinks available for the children. Instead of paper towels, facility utilizes blow dryers for hands. Facility stated they have paper towels in addition for any children that do not want to use the blow dryer. Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the bathrooms and under direct visual observation. There is one staff restroom located in the reception hallway, which will also be used for the isolation restroom for ill child(ren). The director's office is located between Room 1 and the reception desk, and will be used for the center's isolation area for ill child(ren) There is an operational carbon monoxide detector on site located in each classroom. First aid kit was inspected and had all the required items. Ms. Sadhu and Ms. Wynglarz stated there are no firearms/weapons on site. |
