25 | On 03/22/2022 at 11:01am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Samantha Clenista conducted an announced Change of Ownership Pre-Licensing inspection. LPA met with Center Director/Applicant, Jeanette Bradley (who is director qualified). The school-aged program (ages K thru 12-years-old) will operate in the Room 9. Fire clearance was granted on 03/01/2022. First Aid Kit and medications will be stored in the kitchen. The facility also has two office areas, kitchen, children's bathrooms, staff bathrooms, storage units, and one big playground.
All indoor and outdoor activity areas were measured and inspected. Room 9 measured at approximately 492.37 sq. ft. sufficient for 14 children. Room is complete with age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. The restroom located in the back building that has 1 toilet, 1 urinal and 2 sinks will be the designated school-age restroom, which afford privacy. There is sign designating the restroom to just school-aged children. There are three staff restrooms which all have 1 toilet and 1 sink each. The staff restroom located in the lobby/office area will be designated for use by children who are ill. There is a carbon monoxide detector on site in every room. The kitchen area currently includes a sink, 3 refrigerators, 2 gas stoves, 2 ovens, dishwasher, microwave, 2 freezers, washer, dryer and storage units. The menu is posted, as well as all other required documents for the parents and employees. Sign in and out will be located in the front lobby area and gate located in the back parking lot.
The outdoor play area dedicated for the school-aged children measured at approximately 4,175 sq. ft., sufficient for 55 children at one time. LPA observed age appropriate toys/equipment. Area is appropriately fenced and shaded (canopies and trees). Drinking water is readily accessible indoors and outdoors via drinking water fountains and pitchers/sippy cups. LPA observed a water canal located directly under the bridge that connects the front and back areas of the facility. Fencing that currently barricades the children from having access to the the canal meets regulation (above 4ft. high, un-climbable, and see through). |
