25 | On 07/05/2023 at 2:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conduct an annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Nanissa Madadi and proceeded to tour the facility. There were 7 infants in care in the infant room supervised by teacher Parivash Khosraviani and teacher aide Swetha Bhatnagar. Due to low enrollment during the summer the toddler room is not being use at this time. During the tour teacher Kenya Nelson return to the classroom. Facility is within staffing ratio and all staff members has the required background clearances and are associated to the facility.
All required notices, forms and licenses are posted. The rooms were clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, equipment and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Infant food/beverages are labeled/dated. Food service area for older infants eating solid food consists of a kitchen which is clean and sanitary. The young infant bring their own formula and baby food. Facility provides lunches and snacks for the older infants that are in care. Menu is posted. Food are stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products and food preparation sink is separate from diaper/changing and toilet/potty chair hand washing sink.
Infant bedding/napping equipment is in good repair with standard cribs and mattresses of a water-resistant material, disinfected daily. Cribs are spaced adequately apart to meet regulation and are not blocking an entrance or an exit. Tight fitting crib sheets are in place, bedding is stored separately, and each child has his/her own. No children are using the same crib. Soiled sheets are kept inaccessible to children and bedding is washed/changed daily or more often, if necessary. Infant changing tables have padded, washable vinyl at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation and are within arm’s reach of a sink that is not used for food preparation. The sink and changing table are disinfected between each use. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition.
