Director, Yolanda Perez submitted an application for an increase of capacity due to an expansion in Room 3. A fire clearance was granted on 1/23/20 for a total capacity of 57 children. The classrooms were inspected and measured a total of 2,334 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate 57 children. All classrooms are equipped with age appropriate equipment, furniture, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves and other materials for children. Outdoor playground was previously measured for an approximate 4055 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate 54 children. The facility has a total of 5 toilets and 6 sinks exclusive for children's use, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the restrooms and direct visual observation is required at all times. The playground is fully fenced and maintained in a safe condition. Director provided LPA with a plan of operation during time of inspection for the preschool playground schedule due to the playground will only accommodate 54 children at one time. Director is reminded that the playground should at no time exceed a capacity of 54 children.
No deficiencies cited during today’s inspection. A preschool license for a total of 57 children age 3 years – 5 years will be issued effective today. |
