On 02/01/2023 at 2:51 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dana Stevens, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Director Leanne Talada. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Director stated there are currently 79 children enrolled. There were 52 napping children and 9 staff present at the time of this inspection. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:45 AM- 05:15 PM.

There were no bodies of water observed within the premises. Director stated there are no firearms/weapons on the grounds. Furniture and playground equipment are kept in good condition. Facility has functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet requirements. All toilets and hand washing facilities are safe and working in sanitary conditions. Center provides drinking water in classroom from pitchers. Children use disposable cups or individual, labeled water bottles. Facility has a kitchen and provides snacks only, children bring individual lunches from home. Facility's kitchen and food storage areas are clean and sanitary. All food is protected against contamination and properly stored. The child care center is clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. Drinking water is supplied via drinking fountains. All storage containers for solid waste have a tight-fitting covers that are kept on and in good repair. Roster and children and staff files were reviewed and found complete.

This facility is currently providing Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Staff was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
