25 | Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit for the purpose of a random annual inspection. During this visit there were 12 children with teacher Patricia Rosandich and her assistant Alina Fuentes. Facility is within ratio and capacity. All required items were posted.
Program operates Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There is a Waiver for Gulzar Hunjan to be the Director for both this school and the one next door as they are separated by a walkway. Children start the day out at next door for breakfast and then the older children move to 2586 as they reach capacity.
LPA toured the facility. There are two main rooms, an eating area, a kitchen and a bathroom. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Rooms were a comfortable temperature during this visit. Children had just completed lunch and were preparing to nap. No hazards were noted. All storage containers and trashes have tight fitting covers are in good repair. Any medications are stored atop the fridge, out of reach of children. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. Breakfast is prepared and served next door. Food service area in both locations consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards, with food stored safely, per regulation, and the menu is posted.The carbon monoxide and smoke detector is operational. There is a fire extinguisher mounted on the wall. All hazardous items are stored where they are inaccessible to children. The outdoor play area is fenced, has sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. There is an operational water fountain outdoors and an outdoor bathroom. The last emergency drill was conducted on 5/1/19. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. All staff present have a current CPR and First Aid certification with A-B-Cpr, expiring 6/2/20. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed. LPA reviewed personnel records and a sample of children's records. SB 792 (staff immunizations) and AB 1207 (Mandated Reporter Training) requirements have been met. Effect of Lead Handout was provided for dissemination to the parents of current and future enrollees. |
