25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Yolanda Baez and Dana Stevens arrived at the facility to conduct a case- management inspection. LPAs met with Program Manager, Kristin Gonzalez. This School Age program operates in the "B-7, B-8, and B-9" classrooms. The hours of operation are from 6:30am to 8:30am on Mondays Tuesdays Thursday and Fridays, from 2:10pm to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 12:15pm to 6pm on Wednesdays. The program is located within Gage Elementary School.
The purpose of this inspection is to increase the capacity of the current license. The center wishes to add the "Auditorium/Cafeteria" to be an accessible area to the children in care. LPAs inspected the "Auditorium/Cafeteria" and it is in compliance. Program Manager provided an updated school map to include the current areas that are used for the center and the areas that are being added to the license. There are sufficient restrooms available for the new requested capacity of 136 children. Ms. Gonzalez provided LPAs with a copy of an outdated elementary school fire inspection, a permit to allow the center to use specific areas on school property, and a signed LIC 200A to reflect the request in change of capacity. The permit currently reflects that the center will have access to B-7, B-8, B-9, and the Cafeteria. The permit must be updated to reflect that the center will have access to use B-7, B-8, B-9, cafeteria, and Auditorium.
The pending documents required prior to issuing an increase of capacity is:
- pending fire clearance
- pending a permit that states that the site has access to B-7, B-8. B-9, Cafeteria, and Auditorium
- Develop a plan of operation to ensure that the children who are enrolled at the center are never co- mingled with children from other after school programs OR the elementary school site. This plan is to include while children are indoors (in the licensed areas), while they are playing outside on the playgrounds, and while they are using the restrooms
