25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Marie Hernandez conducted the unannounced Random/Annual inspection. LPA met with the Facility Representatives, Paola Carbajal, and Gracie Vaden. LPA was given access to inspect the facility. The Representative Ms. Carbajal accompanied LPA on the tour of the facility. During today's visit, there are twenty nine children with eight teachers in the classrooms. In #1, there are nine children with two teachers, room #2 there are seven children with two teachers, in room #3, there are six children with two teachers and in room #4, there are seven children with two teachers. The appropriate ratios and capacity were observed during the inspection. Appropriate care & visual supervision were also observed during the inspection while children were napping. There are no bodies of water and no fire arms/weapons on the premises. The furniture, equipment and supplies are in good condition, free of sharp loose or pointed parts during the inspection. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition, and is free of hazards during the inspection. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers that are kept on, and are in good repair during the inspection. The areas around or under high climbing equipment, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a child’s fall during the inspection. The facility takes measures to keep the facility free of flies, other insects, and rodents during the inspection. The facility has age appropriate furniture, cots or mats, changing tables, tables and chairs during the inspection. The facility staff is reminded that baby walkers, baby bouncers, baby saucers, and baby jumpers are prohibited in the facility. The facility has sufficient napping equipment that meets the requirements during the inspection. The child care center is clean and is in good repair to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors during the inspection. The facility has maintained the fire/disaster drills; the last drill was conducted on 10/29/2019. |
