25 | On 5/23/23 at 9:15am, Licensing Program Analyst, Patrick Ma, met with Director Angie Winkler for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. There were 55 children present with 9 teachers in 4 rooms. Facility is within ratio and capacity. Program operates M – F from 6:00 – 6:00pm.
LPA toured the facility. The rooms were clean, orderly and a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. There is a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. There is a kitchen which is clean and sanitary. Students bring their lunches and facility provides am/pm snacks. The snack menu is posted, changes are recorded, and menus are stored for 30 days. Food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products. Drinking water is readily available. Napping equipment is sufficient for each child, bedding is stored separately, and cots are disinfected after use. Facility has ensured that there is adequate space between cots for easy passage and that they are not blocking entrances or exits.
Toddler changing tables have padded, washable vinyl at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation and are within arm’s reach of a sink that is not used for food preparation. The sink and changing table are disinfected between each use. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition. There is at least one toilet with training seat present for every 5 infants who are potty training. All storage containers or trash cans containing solid or diaper waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair.

Poisons, disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children have been made inaccessible. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. |
