25 | On 11/16/22 at 9:15am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Saraliz Velando and Leilani Curtis, made an unannounced CASE MANAGEMENT inspection, for reported Lead Exceedance. LPAs met with Licensee, Polly Trump and toured the facility. Also present in the facility were 48 daycare children and 7 teachers/staff. Facility was within ratio & capacity. Staff members have the required Criminal record clearance and are associated to the facility. LPAs interviewed staff and examined the faucets and drinking fountains deemed an Action Level Exceedance.
Drinking fountain reported with 5.5 ppb or greater lead exceedance levels was as follows:
“C” Drinking Fountain located in the Central Hallway-Children’s Restroom 17.00 ppb
Licensee reported that drinking fountain "C" was removed because it was being used by children for drinking. The drinking fountain was removed and capped off on 9/19/22. The school provides pitchers of filtered water in the classrooms. There is also a drinking fountain located on the playground that passed testing that children are free to use. There is a faucet in the kitchen used for food prep that passed testing. A letter was sent out to parents regarding the testing and remediation on 9/23/2022. LPAs observed that the water testing results are posted in the facility.
See LIC809-D for cited deficiency.
