Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees, and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
This facility is currently licensed for 97 children ages 2 thru Kindergarten, to include up to 12 School Age children. Licensee submitted an application to the department to decrease the capacity to 80 children as the Infant program will now be using Room #4. The facility has also requested to add the school age room (#9) to the preschool. The measured capacity is 482.9 sq ft which allows up to 13 children. The total measured capacity will now be 93 children for rooms #5-9. Sufficient for facility’s requested capacity of 80 children. Room 9 was inspected for age appropriate equipment, furniture, supplies and materials. Drinking water is available for the children in and outside the classroom. Room 9 is approved for use and will be added to the preschool license and the decrease will be recorded and a license sent for posting.
No deficiencies were issued today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Leone (Power) Paul. |
