25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Diana Sanchez made an unannounced Annual/Random inspection on today's date, at the above referenced facility. LPA met with facility director Ana King and proceeded to tour the facility. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the facility is maintaining the health and safety standards as required by Community Care Licensing (CCL) Regulations governing Child Care Centers.
There were 24 children and two staff in the school age classroom. Appropriate ratios, capacity, care and visual supervision were observed. All furniture and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. Classroom has adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. Bathroom is clean, in good repair, toilets and sinks are operable. Paper towels and toilet paper is available. Hazardous materials are inaccessible to children. Classroom has drinking water available for children. Food service area consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards. Facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. Adequate food is available for meals and monthly menus are posted.
Outdoor play area is a fenced playground and there is a structural shade. Playground structure is age appropriate and there are no bodies of water nor weapons at this facility. Area has drinking water available and grounds are free of debris or potential hazards.
There is an operational Type 2A:10BC fire extinguishers and working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in the facility.
Per new Senate Bill 792 pertaining to immunizations, which require all adults in daycare operation to have proof of immunizations for; Measles, Pertussis or Whooping Cough and Influenza or Flu were discussed with Licensee. LPA has verified that director and staff have verification of required immunizations and are in compliance.
Assembly Bill 1207 Mandated Child Abuse Reporting. Beginning on January 1, 2018, this law requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years. |
