13 | On 11/08/2021 at 2:50 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood conducted an unannounced complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering the complaint findings for the listed above allegations. Upon arrival, LPA met with the director and toured the facility. During this inspection in classroom #1, there were nine (9) children present with three (3) staff. In classroom #2, there were eight (8) children present with two (2) staff. Classroom #8, there were 12 children with 3 staff present.
During the course of the investigation, interviews were conducted with the daycare parents, staff, and director. During interviews, daycare parents stated they have observed infants clean and cared for by staff. Daycare parents did not disclose concerns regarding infant hygiene needs, or toys not being sanitized. Staff stated toys are sanitized throughout the day and at the end of the day. One daycare parent stated they are not aware of the facility isolation area for sick infants. Another daycare parent stated one time when their infant was not feeling, the infant was isolated in the office. Staff and director stated when an infant is not feeling well, the infant is isolated in an area of the classroom with staff until the infant is picked up. Staff stated children wear a smock during messy activities; however, staff stated they try their best to clean the infants as needed. Staff and director stated the infants have an extra set of clothes just in case the infant needs to be changed while in care. |
