25 | On 06/29/22, at 1:04 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Rajani Goudreau, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Assistant Director, Torie Peters. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. This is a full day program that operates year around. There were seven children in care with one staff member in classroom #4. Facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m
During the inspection, no bodies of water were observed on the premises of the property. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items were observed to be made inaccessible. No poisons were observed. LPA informed Assistant Director all poisons shall be are kept in a locked storage area. Furniture and equipment were observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All materials and surfaces accessible to children were observed to toxic free. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition, per observation. All floors in the facility are clean and safe, per observation. Food preparation area located in the kitchen near classroom #2 and food storage areas were observed to be clean. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors through the use of a refillable water containers. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space was observed to be maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. LPA observed the areas around the play structure to have wood chips to sorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents, per observation. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. The Department has inspection authority as specified in Health & Safety Code. |
