25 | On March 30, 2023 at 10:54 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Courtnee Peebles, conducted a Case Management visit in response to information received from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Drinking Water (DDW). LPA met with Director Melissa Greenway, who was informed of the reason for the visit.
Assembly Bill 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their drinking and cooking water for lead contamination between January 1, 2020 and January 1, 2023, and then every 5 years after the date of the first lead testing. LPA observed on the report provided by the SWRCB the sink faucet A and G identified as having high levels of lead.
Faucet A is located in the toddler classroom. Director Melissa Greenway told LPA that the faucet has not been in use due to the room not being occupied. The Director stated faucet A will be replaced and is currently waiting on financial estimates. Once the faucet is replaced sink A will be retested.
Faucet G is located in the storage room. Director Melissa Greenway told LPA that the faucet has not been in use for some time now seeing how it is located in the storage room. The director stated this faucet use to be to sanitize toys, but is no longer used to do so. The Director stated faucet G will be replaced and is currently waiting on financial estimates. Once the faucet is replaced sink G will be retested
