25 | On 2/19/2021 at 1:02 p.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Julissa Valle met with center director, Summer Medina. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic a tele-inspection was conducted upon FaceTime platform. The purpose of this inspection is to assist with technical assistance (TA) due to a COVID-19 outbreak and ensure local Health Department, CDC and Licensing recommendations are being followed. The following ratios were observed during the inspection: Infant B Room 5 children with 3 staff, Toddler A Room 4 children with 1 staff, Toddler B Room 7 children with 2 staff.
Facility had a COVID-19 outbreak from the time period between 1/25/2021-01/30/2021. Facility closed for a period of 01/30/2021-02/10/2021 out of precautionary reasons to slow the spread of COVID-19 and following the recommendations of the Local Health Department. Facility reopened on 02/11/2021. During this time the director scheduled professional cleaning to be done and disinfect the entire facility prior to reopening. Through the COVID-19 outbreak, the director has followed the reporting requirements with Licensing and the Local Health Department and worked closely with both departments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
During this TA inspection, LPA observed that COVID-19 awareness posters and information is made visible to public, staff and children. Director states they follow local health order of keeping the same cohort of children and do not mix children or staff between different age groups to limit possible spreading of the virus. Director states additional health screening questions have been implemented and logging of temperatures for staff and children. |
