On 12/08/2020 at 4:05 PM, LPA Dana Stevens conducted an unannounced tele-visit for the purpose of increase in capacity. The visit was conducted via the ZOOM application per CDPH guidelines due to the COVID-19 State of Emergency. LPA met with applicant Julia Becerra. Child care assistant, Anysabel Becerra was also present with 5 children, 2 of which were infants under 2 years old. Facility was operating within capacity limits. The 2- story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of 14 children. Applicant has provided safe toys, play equipment and materials. Home appeared clean and orderly. All cleaners, toxins, medications, poisons and other hazardous substances are inaccessible to children in care and are located in off limits area. There were no bodies of water present at the time of this visit. Applicant states that there are no firearms or other weapons in the home. All appropriate forms are posted. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. A sample of children's files were reviewed and found complete. Fire extinguisher rated 3A 40 B:C is located in the kitchen. Carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector are present in the home and meet State Fire Marshall standards. Fire clearance was approved on 11/18/20 from the Chula Vista Fire Department. Applicant's Pediatric First Aid/ CPR certification expires in March of 2021. Assistant, Anysabel is not currently Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified and Applicant understands that her assistant is not to be left alone with the children until she has received certification.

Applicant will be using the following rooms for childcare: the entire first floor, with the exception of the laundry room and garage. The following areas will be off limits: the garage, the laundry room and the entire upstairs. These areas are made inaccessible with door locks, door knob covers and a safety gate. The home has a fully fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. The home appears to be large enough to comfortably accommodate 14 children.

The home appears to be in sufficient compliance and no corrections are needed. A Large license for 14 may be granted upon final file review. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report and Notice of Site Visit will be emailed to applicant. Applicant understands that email acknowledgement of receipt of the report needs to be received within 24 hours.
