25 | On February 26, 2024, at 9:45am., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Vicky Williamson conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Rebecca Maxwell and disclosed the purpose of the inspection. Also present was Natilla Isales. There was one (1) daycare child present during the time of inspection. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 6:00pm.
This is a one story, five- bedroom, two bath home. The following areas are used for childcare: living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom #1, bathroom #1 (hallway), and front yard. The following off-limit areas are bedroom's #2, #3, #4 & #5, backyard and garage. Off limit areas are inaccessible to children by use of key lock doors.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements. All cleaning compounds, medications, and other hazardous items were inaccessible to children during the inspection. Licensee has a working telephone and cell phone in the home. The licensee has age-appropriate toys and play equipment available.
Licensee stated that there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed no bodies of water during the time of inspection. Licensee stated there are no firearms or weapons in the home.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
