25 | On December 8, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Leilani Curtis conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Licensee, Cindy Baudler. Also present was the licensee’s spouse/helper Peter Baudler. The licensee’s nephew, Aaron Piecukonis, was also briefly at the facility. LPA provided the LIC 126, Entrance Checklist to Licensee. There were 4 children in care, 1 who was an infant. Facility was observed operating within ratio and capacity. LPA conducted a tour of the home inside and outside per facility sketch. Licensee is using the following areas for daycare: kitchen, dining area, family room, downstairs bedroom/daycare room, downstairs bathroom, living room and enclosed rear yard. Off-limits areas include: entire upstairs, laundry room and garage.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Home is clean, orderly and has adequate ventilation. Children’s toys and play equipment are available and observed free of hazards. Stairs are barricaded. There is a working telephone/email address. LPA observed knives accessible to children in a kitchen drawer and laundry detergent accessible in the laundry room. LPA also observed two cribs in the daycare/bedroom that were covered by a canopy/tent. The fireplace is screened. The fire extinguisher and smoke and carbon monoxide detector are operational. Licensee states there are NO firearms or other weapons in the home. The outdoor play area is fenced and free of hazardous items. Children records were reviewed for Emergency Information. There are no new adults living or working in the home over the age of 18 years. All adult residents and helpers have submitted or been cleared for criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Pediatric CPR and First-Aid certificates are valid through 11/6/23 for Licensee and 11/5/24 for spouse/helper. Licensee and spouse/helper have completed the Mandated Child Abuse Reporting-per AB1207. LPA reviewed certifications and they are in compliance. The immunization law (SB792) was discussed with Licensee. Licensee understands that anyone who provides care and supervision to the children must have immunization records maintained at the facility for: pertussis, measles, and influenza. The licensee does not have verification of immunization's for helper/spouse available for review. The licensee also does not have verification of immunization to pertussis and influenza for herself. |
