25 | On 10/13/2022 at 01:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Miller conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the licensee Cristina Sanchez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The licensee, staff Abigail Garcia, and three daycare children; one under 12 months, one 18 month old, and 1 3-year old.
This is a one story, 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom home. The primary child care areas are the following: the living room area, the day care room (located near the main entrance to the home), the kitchen, Bathroom #1, and the front and side yard. The following areas are kept inaccessible with the use of locks and a safety knob, master bedroom, and bedroom #2.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play outside in the frontyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home and LPA did not observe any firearms at the time of this inspection.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certification expires on 02/2023. Licensee completed the Mandated Reporter certification on 07/06/2022. Licensee has required immunizations. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 09/05/2022. |
