32 | LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed the facility representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. There is one crib or play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the crib or play yard. Miller- Mendoza was reminded cribs or play yards must be free from all loose articles and objects. The helper physically checks on sleeping infants every 15 minutes; however, has not been documenting. Miller-Mendoza was reminded an Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] must be maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age and shall be available to the Department for review. The helper places infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping.
LPA provided and discussed the following: Reporting Covid positive, suspected child abuse & neglect, maintaining children’s records according to regulation, and post required forms. The licensee was reminded corporal punishment, smoking, exersaucers, bouncy seats, walkers, jumpers, and/or similar equipment are not allowed in daycare. LPA and Licensee discussed California Megan's Law and LPA provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov.

An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with Miller - Mendoza, she will review the licensing report with the licensee. Due to the LPA's printer malfunction. The LPA will e-mail a copy of their licensing report, appeal rights (LIC 9058 12/15) and notice of site visit. The notice of site visit must remain posted for 30 days.
