25 | LPA, Luigi Gargaro, conducted an unannounced case management visit to the facility today per request of the licensee. The visit was to inspect a room the licensee wants to add to her for use areas. Licensee is solely Spanish speaking but had her husband Jose Ocampo present to provide translation during today's visit. The room in question is the second bedroom in the home. Analyst inspected the room and found it to be safely child proofed and allowable for facility use.
The facility is now using the dining area, the living room, the second home bedroom and the second home bathroom for the day care. Off limits is the kitchen, the first bathroom and the family room, the remaining three home bedrooms and the home laundry room. The kitchen is made off limits with a safety gate that is installed in the entrance way between the kitchen and the dining room. The first home bedroom is located behind the first bathroom. Both areas are made off limits with a door knob cover installed on the entry door handle of the first bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms and the family room are located towards the back of home and are all made off limits through a door knob cover installed on the entry door that leads to them. The laundry room is made off limits with a door knob cover installed on its entry door.
The home's play area remains the same with the fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. The yard contains two off limits separated areas that are not for day care use and are made that way with lattice fencing with latching gates. The areas contain the licensee's personal items and are also used as a dog run for the pets in the home. The yard also has two off limits side alleyways that are used for storage that are made off limits with latching gates and a storage shed made off limits with a door lock. There is also a locked room that is attached to the back of the home that is solely used for storage. The room is made inaccessible with a door lock.
Licensee submitted a new facility sketch that reflects the new home floor plan. The second bedroom and the other room changes can be used from this point forward as they appear safe and comfortable and appropriate for day care use. |
