25 | On July 28th, 2022 at 7:55 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee Raul and Silvia Cardenas. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The Licensees, one (1) staff and eight (8) daycare children were present during this inspection; one (1) child was aged under 24 months. This facility is a four (4) bedroom, four (4) bathroom house with three (3) stories. Licensee accompanied LPA during this inspection. The following areas used for childcare are: the bottom floor family room, one downstairs bathroom, the fenced and shaded backyard and one outside/backyard bathroom. The off limit areas are the kitchen, living room and top floors. Stairs to the top floors are barricaded with child safety gates. The living room and kitchen are barricaded with child safety gates.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The Licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play in the fenced and shaded backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Firearms are appropriately stored as required by regulation.
Licensees’ First Aid and CPR certifications both expire in February 2023. The helper’s First Aide and CPR certifications expire in January 2024. Licensees and staff have required immunizations. Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 06/10/2021 and 08/25/2021. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 07/01/2022.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or |
