25 | On 06/30/2023 at 9:50 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Michelle Hood and Regional Manager Joe Carrasco conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with Licensee Gloria Nunez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were seven children present in the facility during this inspection. The licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The off-limits areas are inaccessible through the use of safety gates and door locks. The facility stairs are barricaded with a safety gate. Per licensee the operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the facility backyard for outdoor activities. The licensee understands there must be direct supervision while outside. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. The licensee was reminded all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to the initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 06/2025. The licensee has required immunizations. Licensee did not have the mandated reporter certificate available for review. The facility roster is maintained and reviewed. LPA reviewed children’s files. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 06/15/2023.
