25 | On 06/28/2022 at 9:20 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA)s, Michelle Hood and Cindy Meier conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee Karen Underwood. LPAs disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were two children present in the facility during the start of the inspection. The licensee accompanied LPAs inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The off-limits areas are inaccessible through the use of door locks. Per licensee the operating hours are Monday through Sunday and 6:00 am to 10:30 pm.
The smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met the requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment, and materials available. The licensee uses the front yard for outdoor activities. The licensee stated the car is moved to the street and the gate is closed before children go outside to play. The licensee understands there must be direct supervision while children are outside. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. The licensee was reminded all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to the initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee was not able to provide LPAs a copy of her First Aid and CPR certification The licensee has required immunizations. The licensee was not able to provide proof for mandated reporter training. The facility roster is maintained and reviewed. LPAs did not review children’s files. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 01/15/2022. The licensee stated she will conduct a disaster drill the next day care is provided.
