25 | On 06/01/2023 at 2:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst,(LPA) Dana Stevens met with Licensee, Maclovia Rivero, for the purpose of an Annual Required Inspection/Legal Non-Compliance inspection. Licensee's mother/assistant was also present with 10 daycare children ages 1.5 - 4 years, at the time of this inspection. The home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children per the standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. Licensee stated there are currently 14 children enrolled and LPA verified that licensee's LIC 9040 roster was complete and updated. LPA observed Probationary License is posted.
The fire extinguisher and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all adults or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. First Aid and CPR certifications for Licensee, Co-Licensee and assistant expire on 06/26/2023 and Licensee states she will be scheduling renewal classes this week. Children’s records were reviewed and were found to be complete. Children's files contained signed Acknowledgement Of Receipt Of Licensing forms documenting parents' receipt of current compliance plan. Personnel records were reviewed and found complete. Licensee, Co-Licensee and Licensee's assistant have completed Mandated Reporter training.
