25 | On June 21, 2023 at 11:45 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Edgar Campana conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee, Jemima Perez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were six (6) children and one staff member present during inspection. Staff member is cleared and associated to facility. This two story four bedroom 3 bath home was toured, the following areas are used for daycare: living room, kitchen/dining room, downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Off limit areas include: Entire upstairs and the garage. Stairs are barricaded and garage is made inaccessible Licensee accompanied LPA during this inspection.
The fire extinguisher, type 2-A:10-B:C, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detectors met requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 07/2024. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training certificate expires on 05/05/2025. Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted in April 24 2023.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
