25 | On date and time listed, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrea Taylor arrived at the facility to conduct an annual inspection as part of a compliance review. Licensee requested to increase from a small (Up to 8 children) family child care to a large (up to 14 children) family childcare. Licensee requested to add her adult daughter, Lexus Lutu, to the license. Licensee, Avalisa Lutu, explained she closed facility today due to most of child care children being sick but not with COVID. There were no day care children present during today's inspection.
LPA toured the facility, inside and out, records were reviewed, and the following was observed and/or discussed:
· Normal days and hours of operation are: Monday thru Friday 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
· Off-limit areas include: All of the upstairs, kitchen, family room , dining room and garage.
· Did not observe if facility is operating within the licensed capacity and appropriate ratios due to no children in care.
· Did not observe if appropriate supervision provided due to no child care children in care.
· A working telephone is present, and the current number is on file
· Appropriate fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector present and were tested by the Licensee during this inspection.
· Fireplace is properly screened to prevent access by children
· All hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children
· Toxins are locked
· Weapons are not in the home. Licensee understands all guns, weapons and ammunition must be key locked separately and made inaccessible per Title 22 Regulations
