Licensing Program Analyst, Jennifer Lott conducted an announced Case Management tele-inspection due to COVID-19 restrictions. The purpose of the LPA's visit is for an increase in capacity from eight (8) to fourteen (14) children. LPA met with licensee, Delia Michel, identified herself and disclosed the purpose of her visit.

On 11/20/20, the licensee submitted an application (LIC 279) to request an increase of capacity. The licensee's home appears to be large enough to accommodate fourteen (14) children. The Fire Safety Inspection Request (STD 850) was approved by the local Fire Marshal on 03/10/2021 and granted the capacity increase to fourteen (14).

LPA conducted an inspection of the home. The home consists of three (3) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms. As per the Fire Marshall's request, a pull station was installed on garage exterior in front of the home's entrance. The home appears clean and sanitary. Licensee met required postings, including those for COVID-19. The following areas are used for day care: living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway bathroom and fully fenced front yard/driveway area and converted garage (see Advisory Note (LIC 9102) regarding garage use/restrictions. Licensee states they use the garage for minimal periods of time during bad weather and messy outdoor activities. Daily use is from 10am-11am. Off limit areas are made inaccessible to day care children through the use of door knob covers and safety gates. No bodies of water were observed on the premises. Licensee Michel advised there are no weapons or ammunition are stored on the property.

No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. This portion of the application process is complete and a license for fourteen (14) will be granted upon a final file review.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report, Appeal and Licensee Rights (LIC 9058) and Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was provided to Licensee, Michel via email. An email read receipt serves as confirmation of receipt of these documents. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) must remain posted for thirty (30) days.
