25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Tyra Block conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the Licensee, Danielle Gutierrez. The single story, 4bd, 2 ba home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present were the Licensee, Assistant, minor daughter and 11 day care children (including 1 infant). The fire extinguisher (2A10BC), smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 9/2023. Licensee has required immunizations and has completed Mandated Reporter Training for renewal (exp. 5/2024). Children’s records were reviewed and found to be in order. The last disaster drill was conducted 6/14/22.
Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for child care include: Play Room, Living Room, Dining Room, Hall Bathroom, and Bedroom #1 . Off limits areas include Master Bedroom, Bedroom #2, and Bedroom #3 and are inaccessible through use of doorknob covers. The licensee has toys and equipment available for children's use. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities.
