25 | On 12/17/2020, at 3:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dana Stevens conducted a case management inspection for the purpose of an increase in capacity. The inspection was conducted via video conference (FaceTime), per CDPH recommendations due to the Covid-19 State of Emergency. LPA met with licensee, Lydia Flores. No children were present at the facility during this inspection. Fire clearance for 14 children was granted/received on 10/02/2020. LPA conducted a live video tour of the inside and outside of the facility. This 2 story, 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house was toured and inspected to ensure compliance with standards established in CCR,Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. The following areas are used for childcare: entire downstairs with the exception of, living room, laundry room, and kitchen. These areas are made inaccessible with the use of safety gates and door locks. The second floor is off-limits and is made inaccessible through the use of a safety gate at the bottom of the stairs. Additionally, the garage and one detached bedroom located at the front of the house, are off-limits and made inaccessible with door locks.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements.The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available for children’s use.The home has a fully fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water on the premises. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee and assistants' First Aid and CPR certifications expire in 08/2022. Licensee and assistants have required immunizations and have completed Mandated Reporter Training. A sample of children’s records were reviewed and found complete. |
