25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Selina Siao and Dana Stevens conducted a plan of correction inspection today to ensure the facility is within substantial compliance. Upon arrival, Licensee is at the facility with four day care children including one infant and three preschool age children. Licensee's three school age children are also home.
Areas used for day care includes the large living room, dining area, downstairs bedroom, downstairs bathroom and the play room located at the back with the entrance located in the backyard. LPA Siao obtained approval from the fire inspector who stated that licensee is allow to use the additional back room. Licensee uses the fenced backyard for outdoor activities. Off limit areas includes the kitchen, upstairs, family room and garage. Licensee was reminded that a safety gate is required for the off limit areas when children are in care to prevent children's access.
Facility has all the required children's records, fire drill log, facility roster, no hazardous items are accessible to children, no bodies of water, all off limit areas now has safety gates to prevent children's access, the rose bushes located in the backyard has wire fencing to ensure children's safety. Licensee completed the online mandated child abuse training on 09/10/2019.
Licensee was provided with a picture of all prohibited items today and understands that a bouncer is not allow for day care children.
The home appears to be within substantial compliance during today's inspection. A large license will be granted effective today. Licensee was advised that when a qualified helper is not at the facility, then she must operate within the small licensed capacity.
A Notice of Site Visit was posted today and it must remain posted for a period or 30 days. Failure to keep notice posted will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. |
