25 | On 03/18/2022 at 10:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Dana Stevens conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with licensee, Maria Meza. Language Link interpreter #14708 assisted with translation in Spanish. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. One child care assistant was present with 4 daycare children at the time of the inspection, ages 2, 3, 4 and 4. Licensee accompanied LPA throughout the inspection of this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. The following areas used for child care are: the entire house. The backyard is used for outdoor activities and is properly fenced. Licensee stated she provides total supervision during outdoor play.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 11/2022, assistants CPR/First AId certification expires on 06/2023. Licensee has required immunization. Licensee and assistant completed Mandated Reporter Training in August 2021. Facility roster was available and updated. Children's file were reviewed and found complete.
The last fire and disaster drill was completed on 12/2021. There are play yards available that are free from all loose articles and objects, however licensee stated she does not have any children under two years old enrolled at this time. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
