(1) On 08/09/2021 at 1:50PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Selina Siao conducted an unannounced random inspection with the Licensee. The home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present at the facility were the Licensee, her new helper Sujatha Sivasankaran and 8 day care children napping in the living room and bedroom located downstairs. Licensee currently uses the living room, bedroom and 1/2 bath for child care. Licensee currently has the dining room blocked off but she stated that if she has more children then she will open up that area and will block off the connecting area that leads to the kitchen. The facility has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. Off limit areas includes the laundry room, garage, family room, kitchen and all of upstairs. The off limit areas are blocked off with safety gates and or door knob cover, there is a safety gate at the bottom of the stairs. The home has a fully charged fire extinguisher and an operating smoke and carbon monoxide detector. All hazardous items "keep out of reach of children" were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. Licensee stated that there are no bodies of water or weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received the required background clearances and are associated to the facility. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications are current due to expire on 07/17/2023. Licensee stated that she has not renew her online mandated child abuse training as she last completed the training on 05/05/2018.
