On 8/3/22 at 9:15 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Annette Sutherland conducted an unannounced annual inspection with the Licensee’s helper Sugirtha Subramanian. Also present was Helper Meenakshi Aravine who were provided the Inspection Checklist (LIC 126). The 2-story home was toured and inspected to ensure an environment safe for the care and supervision of children. Present in the home were 10-day care children. The facility is within ratio and capacity. Licensee has provided adequate space for the children to eat, sleep and play within the home. Areas used for childcare include Living room, Bedroom #1, Bathroom #1 and Backyard. Off limits areas include Entire upstairs, Dining room, Kitchen, Family room, Laundry room, and Garage and are inaccessible through use of doorknob covers and safety gates. Stairs are properly barricaded. Fireplace is in an off-limit area. The licensee has sufficient toys and equipment available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. Last fire drill was conducted on 2/15/2022. LPA conducted childcare quality management interview with the Licensee's helpers . The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector meet requirements and are operational. All hazardous items were latched/locked and secured out of reach of children. There are no bodies of water on the property. Sugirtha states that there are no weapons in the home. First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 2/19/24 for Sugirtha Subramanian and 3/26/24 for Meenakshi Aravind . Helpers both have required immunizations. Sugirtha Subramanian completed Mandated Reporter Training on 3/27/22 and Meenakshi Aravind completed it on 3/26/22 and are reminded it must be completed every 2 years. Children’s and Staff records were reviewed and found to be in order.
