On April 14, 2022, at 11:47 a.m., Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Tulam Vu, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rajani Goudreau conducted an office meeting at the San Diego Child Care Regional Office with Licensee, Sofia Salazar Lopez.

The purpose of today's meeting is to discuss the substantiated complaint Type A violation of the California Code of Regulation (CCR) Section 102416.5(a) cited on January 12, 2022.

The following regulation was discussed: CCR 102416.5(a) Staffing Ratio and Capacity - "The capacity specified on the License shall be the maximum number for children for whom care may be provided at any time".

The Licensee explained additional measures and schedule changes that have been implemented to ensure the facility will not operate over capacity in the future. Licensee stated she will provide LPA with an updated Facility Roster and schedule when changes occur.

Resources were provided to the Licensee and discussed during this meeting; Quarterly Update - Spring 2022, PIN 22-10 - Updated Guidance for Child Care Providers Regarding COVID-19, PIN 22-11 - Live Virtual Orientation For FCCH, PIN 22-12 - Child Care Licensing Webinars and PIN 20-24 - Recently Approved Safe Sleep Regulations. In addition, the Capacity Worksheet was provided and explained to the Licensee during this meeting.

Additionally, the Licensee was advised of the educational videos located at the following web address: https://ccld.childcarevideos.org/family-child-care-providers/. LPM recommended Licensee to review the above-mentioned video listed on the Department website. The Licensee agreed to review the video and provide a summary of the video to the department no later than April 22, 2022.

LPA informed licensee in order to sign up for Quarterly Updates and PINs through our website. Please go to www.cdss.ca.gov and on the right side of your screen click on “Receive Important Updates”, put your email address in and choose which program(s) you would like to subscribe to and click “subscribe.

During today's office meeting the Licensee was advised of the administrative process, including compliance conferences, and administrative action if serious violations continue. The Licensee acknowledged, understood and agreed to comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to childcare. All Title 22 regulations and Quarterly Updates may be obtained at CCLD.CA.GOV.
