25 | On January 31st, 2022, at 11:16 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted a case management inspection for the purpose to provide Technical Assistance (TA) resultant of a COVID 19 outbreak and to ensure local public health department, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and licensing recommendations are currently adhered to by staff.
LPA advised Licensee Euranika Carroll of the meeting’s purpose. Present in the daycare was seven (7) children, Licensee and one (1) helpers. The daycare operations weekdays from 7:30 AM to 5 PM.
The facility experienced a COVID 19 outbreak in early January 2022. The facility closed for two (2) weeks due to precautionary reasons and recommendation from the Department of Public Health (DPH) to slow the spread of COVID-19. Licensee reopened the facility on 01/18/2022, with the guidance from the DPH. Licensee conducted a deep cleaning of the entire home prior to the reopening of the day care. Licensee has followed the reporting requirements with Licensing and the Local Health Department and worked closely with both departments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
During this TA inspection, LPA observed that COVID-19 awareness posters posted. LPA provided Licensee with Provider Information Notice (PIN) 21-29-CCP, titled “Face Covering Requirements and Guidance for Child Care Providers Regarding” COVID 19. Licensee was reminded that per state public health orders that all children over the age of 2 years wear a face mask while in care and staff is to wear face masks while caring for children. .
No deficiencies were issued during today's inspection.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Euranika Carroll. |
