LPA and applicant discussed California Megan's Law and he provided applicant with the website address: www.meganslaw.ca.gov for her to review information regarding her facility on a regular basis.
The following was discussed with licensee Evans: child abuse reporting, children’s records, immunizations, adults living or working in the home, shaken baby syndrome, SIDS, and the YMCA Resource Center. Applicant was reminded that corporal punishment, smoking, walkers, exersaucers, jumpers and bouncy seats are not allowed in day care.
SAFE SLEEP PLAN and documentation was discussed. The provider physically checks on sleeping infants every 15 minutes. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] is maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age and shall be available to the Department for review. The provider places infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping.
