25 | LPA Armando Locano completed an announced pre-licensing change of location site inspection today. The purpose of the visit is to ensure the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. LPA met with applicant Elsa Vivanco, discussed SIDS, shaken baby information and record keeping requirements. Applicant understands that physical discipline/corporal punishment shall never be permitted in the child care operation. There is an appropriate Type II 10ABC fire extinguisher and working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms maintained in the home. Applicant has up to date required pediatric CPR, First Aid, 8-hour preventive health courses and Mandated Reporter Training. There are no weapons or bodies of water on the premises. This is a 4 bedroom,2 ½ bath two story detached home. Areas which may be used for childcare are; kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, downstairs hall bathroom, and large fully fenced back yard, for outdoor activities. Off limit areas are, four upstairs bedrooms, two upstairs bahtrooms, garage and storage areas, which are to remain inaccessible during daycare hours.

When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA and Licensee discussed California Megan's Law and LPA provided: www.meganslaw.ca.gov. LPA discussed new LEAD information regarding effects of lead exposure during visit and provided Lead Handout and proposed new Regulations pertaining to infant care.
Per new Senate Bill 792 pertaining to immunizations, which require all adults in daycare operation to have proof of immunizations for; Measles, Pertussis or Whooping Cough and Influenza or Flu, licensee has current verification of required immunizations and is in full compliance.
No corrections are needed, the home is ready for daycare operation, however, licensee will commence operation at this address on November 6, 2019. Small license will be issued effective November 6, 2019. |
