On 5/04/2021 at 9:30am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Selina Siao and Patrick Ma conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for the purpose of capacity increase to 28. Upon arrival, LPA Siao met with Director Lindsay Ferris and conducted a tour of the facility. LPAs observed a total of 24 children in care supervised by staff members Lyndsay Ferris, Bobby Ferris, Nicole Dekozan and Maribel Refugio. A music instructor from another agency was also present in room #2 along with Lyndsay Ferris. All staff members have the required background clearances and are associated to the facility.

This facility is currently licensed for 25 children in classrooms 1 and 2. Licensee submitted a capacity increase application to add 3 more children by using the current licensed areas.

The classrooms were remeasured at 996.95 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate up to 28 children. The rooms are equipped with age appropriate equipment, furniture, supplies and materials. The facility has a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets available for children and both are located in room 1.

Children are to be escorted and supervised by staff to and from the restrooms. Direct visual observation is required when children are in care.

The playground was previously measured at 4800 square feet, which is sufficient for 64 children.

Facility appears to be in substantial compliance, the fire clearance for 28 children was granted on 04/01/2021. Capacity increase is granted effective today. Notice of site visit was posted during today's inspection.
