32 | Interviews revealed that diapers are changed hourly or more often if needed. The changes are recorded/documented on a daily sheet that is sent home with the parent at the end of each day, however, the center, does not keep record of this daily sheet. Interviews revealed that at pick up, staff check/change the diapers of children in care before they are released to their AR/parent. Visual wellness checks are conducted periodically and soiled/wet clothing is changed when needed.
Interviews revealed that bedding is not washed by the center as there is no washing machine on site. Center policy states, infants belongings must be taken home nightly and laundered (if needed.) It was disclosed that most sheets are sent home weekly (on Fridays). Interviews also reveal that when clothing is soiled it is rinsed, placed in a plastic bag and given to the parent at pick-up.
During physical plant inspections, LPA observed two classrooms and one napping room assigned to the infant program to be clean, orderly and in good repair. LPA observed the children’s cubbies to have a minimum of 1 extra sheet and extra set of clothing for children in care.
Interviews revealed that bottles and sippy cups are brought to the center by the infants AR. During investigation, LPA observed bottles to be labeled with the children’s name. 5 out of 5 Interviews reveal that empty or used bottles are rinsed and placed into the baby’s bag and sent home daily along with the daily sheet that communicates additional needs.
Based on information gathered, “Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation/s did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
