Fire clearance was granted on 08/23/2021. LPA met with April Smith, Site Coordinator. There were no children in care during time of visit. LPA inspected the currently licensed room and additional rooms. Per Health and Safety Code Sections 1596.806(a), (a)(1), (1)(2) and (d) this program is exempt from square footage, fencing, outdoor activity space, toilet and isolation requirements. Outdoor play areas include field and playground adjacent to the bungalow restrooms. Ms. Smith stated that rooms 10, 11, 12, 16, 19 and 31 are not going to be utilized this school year of 2021-2022. Prior to using either of the rooms, Ms. Smith is aware to let Child Care Licensing know. Rooms 20 and 21 are equipped with tables and chairs and age appropriate equipment, however supplies are still in boxes and the rooms are not set up. There is a sink available in each room. Drinking water is readily accessible via water bottles and refillable water jugs. Snacks will be provided and will be prepared in the classroom. The program will use the bathrooms (girls and boys) located across room 22 that afford privacy. Bathrooms and classroom sinks have hot and cold running water. Classrooms have storage space for food. There is an operational carbon monoxide detector in Room 20. Sign-in area is located in front of the Kinder gate. All COVID-19 posters are posted. Ms. Smith was reminded to keep anything that reads, “Keep Out of Reach of Children” to be inaccessible to children. Ms. Smith is reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing. Medications, when present, are stored in a locked cabinet, inaccessible to children. All hazardous items are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
