25 | Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit for the purpose of a random annual inspection. During this visit, there were 24 children with three teachers, an Aide and the Director. Facility is within ratio and capacity. Program operates Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 6:25 p.m. in Rooms 10 and 15, the Middle School Room 103 and the multipurpose room.
LPA toured the rooms. The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Rooms were a comfortable temperature during this visit. No hazards were noted. All storage containers and trashes have tight fitting covers are in good repair. Medications are kept in a cabinet Room 15, inaccessible to children. Any medications for the middle school children would be kept in their room. Snacks are provided and stored per regulation. Menu is posted and being stored for 30 days. All hazardous items are stored where they are inaccessible to children. The outdoor play areas ar fenced, have sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. The middle school uses the field near their room and the preschool uses the blacktop, field and play structure with the exception of the monkey bars. The carbon monoxide detectors are operational. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. There is at least one staff present with a current CPR and First Aid certification. Electronic sign in/out is used with paper backup. LPA reviewed personnel records and a sample of children's records. SB 792 (staff immunizations) and AB 1207 (Mandated Reporter Training) requirements have been met. Facility is reminded the Mandated Reporter Training is to be retaken every two years and can be accessed at the following website: www.mandatedreporterca.com. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
