25 | On 9/29/21 @ 1:45pm, LPA Nancy Diaz conducted an unannounced inspection. LPA met with Talana Lugo, Site Director. Observed present today were 51 (napping) children in the following classrooms:
Room #1 with 10 children and staff Leonor Baldonado
Room #2 with 14 children and staff Leslie Palacios & Jessie Fuller
Room #3 with 9 children and staff Alejandra Partida & Maria Tibayan
Room #4 with 18 children and staff John Walker & Irma Roldan
A tour of the facility was conducted. There are 4 classrooms currently used. Program operates Monday-Friday; 7:30AM to 5:00PM.
A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances or exemptions. The licensee has not exceeded the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license. All staff are current with their Pediatric CPR & First Aid certificate.
Facility does not maintain bodies of water or firearms within the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are inaccessible via locked cabinets. Medications are currently not maintained. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All toilets, handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. The child care center was observed to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. Facility maintains a carbon monoxide detector that meet the standards established in Chapter 8 of Part 2 of Division 12.
Playground equipment was observed to be in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space are maintained in safe condition and free of hazards. The areas around or under high climbing equipment, slides, and similar equipment was cushioned with material that absorbs a fall.
