On 12/02/2020 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elise Read made an announced inspection for the purpose of a capacity increase and room addition. Due to COVID-19, LPA obtained measurements of the new classroom and playground at the facility, but completed the remainder of the inspection virtually with Director. The facility is requesting to increase their capacity from 110 preschool children to 124 preschool children. During this visit there were 62 children with 15 staff in 7 classrooms. Facility is within licensed capacity and ratio. The fire clearance was granted on 10/5/2020.

Classroom 3A is being added to the licensed space within the facility. 3A measures at 685.73 square feet, sufficient for 19 children. The total indoor square footage of the facility, previously measured on 08/22/2006 and 08/30/2007, is 4547.79 square feet including today's measurements. This is sufficient for 129 children. There are a total of 13 sinks and 11 toilets available to the children, more than sufficient for the 124 requested children.

The additional playground being added to the license measures at 1246.30 square feet. The playground already in use was previously measured at 8480 square feet on 08/22/2006. Both playgrounds combined are sufficient for 129 children.

The furniture, books, games and toys are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Rooms were a comfortable temperature during this visit. No hazards were noted. Bathrooms and handwashing areas are in a safe, sanitary and operating condition. All hazardous items are stored where they are inaccessible to children. The outdoor play area is fenced and has enough cushioning under and around play structures. Drinking water will be available via personal water bottles. Facility also has water supply available to refill water bottles when necessary.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
