25 | On 8/24/2023 @ 10:00 a.m., Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Jennifer Lott and Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit to inspect the facility for a requested, increase in capacity, room change and playground addition.
The facility has requested the relocation of their current Toddler Option from P7 to P9B, approval of P9A for preschoolers, ages 2 to 5 years, and the approval of new playground space adjacent to room P9B. P7 will now be used for preschool age as it had prior to the Toddler Option
The facility has also requested to add 22 additional preschool children to their current capacity. LPA’s measured and inspected rooms P9A and P9B today. Room P9A measured 571.8714 sq. ft., sufficient for 16 children. P9B measured 454.8164 sq. ft., sufficient for 12 toddlers. The facility is currently approved for 8 toddlers. The new playground space measured 768 sq. ft, sufficient for an additional 10 children. This space will now be used for the Toddler Option and the current Toddler Option playground will be used by the preschool. This will increase preschool outdoor capacity from 112 to 133, sufficient for the requested increase. Age appropriate furniture and equipment was in place. No hazards were noted.
There are 14 toilets and 2 urinals and 15 hand washing sinks, accommodating 225 children, more than sufficient for the requested capacity increase. P9B has a changing table within arms reach of a sink for the Toddler Option children. There is a food prep sink separate from the hand washing/changing table sink. Children will bring their own food and have the option to purchase hot lunches from the school.
Increase in capacity and room change has been approved. An updated license will be sent for posting. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
