25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Saraliz Velando conducted a Case Management inspection that was initiated by Director, Babeth Esterly, to verify the additional outdoor space is safe for children in care. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director, Babeth Esterly. LPA toured the facility with the Director. There were 76 children in care and 16 teachers/staff. Per tour of the facility today, the additional playground outdoor activity space measures approximately 7000 sq. ft. and maintains a shaded rest area for the children by shade sails. The surface of the preschool playground is in safe condition and free of hazards. The facility will provide drinking water to daycare children by labeled water bottles. The facility maintains cushioning material under the play structures using wood mulch. The additional preschool playground is enclosed by a fence that is at least four feet high. All play equipment is age appropriate for children ages 2-5 years old. The additional preschool playground will be referred to as the Kindergarten playground area and equipment is following standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, for Child Care Centers. Upon approval, facility may use the additional outdoor space.
No deficiencies cited today.
Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Babeth Esterly. Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
