25 | On 02/09/21 at 2:00 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Rajani Goudreau conducted a virtual case management visit. Upon visit, LPA met with the Director, Melinda Lopez and proceeded to tour the facility. At time of visit, there were 97 children in care, including 4 toddlers. Facility is within ratio/capacity limitations. Facility operates Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of today’s visit is to deliver amended reports originally created on 12/05/19. In addition, facility is no longer requesting to utilize room #3 for the toddlers and reverting to previously licensed room #2 and the play yard attached to room #2 for the toddler option. Room #3 will remain attached to the preschool license. The overall in door square footage for the preschool license due to adding room #2 back to the preschool license is corrected to reflect 10,158.72. Rooms #2 through #15 were measured on 12/05/19, which is sufficient to accommodate 290 preschool children; including 12 toddlers. The updated square footage for the outdoor space due to adding the pay yard attached to room #2 is corrected to reflect 28,541.65, which is sufficient to accommodate 380 children. An updated fire clearance was granted on 01/01/21 for 290 children; ages 2 through kindergarten in rooms #3 through #15, including 12 toddlers in room #2. LPA received an updated LIC200A and letter signed and dated by an authorized individual acting on behalf of the corporation reflecting decreased capacity. LPA informed the director due to the change of ownership from Nobel Learning Communities, Inc to Spring Education Group, a change of ownership application will have to submitted. LPA informed the director of the needed information in order process the change of ownership application and the reporting time frames. No deficiencies issued during today's visit.LPA conducted an exit interview with the director. LPA discussed and will be providing the following via email: LIC809, Amended LIC809 reports, LIC9213-Notice of Site Visit and appeal rights. LPA informed the director the Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days from today's date. Capacity decrease from 324 to 290 children; ages 2 through kindergarten; including 12 toddlers in rooms: #2 through #15 will be processed. An updated license will be mailed to the facility. COVID-19 State of emergency read receipt notification will be used in place of licensees signature. |
